Job Title: Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- As the Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our operations. Your duties will include:
Financial Management:
- Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure smooth operations.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop, monitor, and report on financial budgets and forecasts.
- Provide management with actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Accounts Oversight:
- Maintain accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Audits and Compliance:
- Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, liaising with tax authorities as needed.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Strategic Contributions:
- Advise management on financial strategies to optimize profitability.
- Implement systems to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Requirements and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA are strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in retail, FMCG, or a related sector.
- Proven track record of managing financial operations in a dynamic business environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms).
