Job Title: Assistant Cook
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Overview
- The Assistant cook will assist the Head Chef in food preparation and also ensure they are presented in an aesthetically pleasing way, while also assisting in coordinating the overall affairs of the kitchen.

Duties
- Assist the Head Chef intotal management of the kitchen, preparing meals, handling inventory, stock management, making requisitions, costing and overall kitchen activities.
- Work with the Head Chef to set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment, and ensure the readiness of ingredients used in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Ensure to keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen by ensuring cooking utensils are clean before and after each use
- Ensure that food portions and food presentation meet company standards before they are served.
- Monitor Kitchen supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
- Must be actively involved in menu planning and the training of new staff.
- Follow & Monitor recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standard.
- Follow proper handling and right temperature of all food products.

Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years experience working as a cook or assistant cook in the hospitality industry

Remuneration
