Job Description

Federal University of Environment and Technology, Koroma / Sakpenwa was established as a Federal university in Koroma/Sakpenwa, Tai Local Government Area, in the Ogoni region of Rivers State. Its creation is rooted in long-standing calls for an institution dedicated to environmental restoration and sustainable development in the Niger Delta / Ogoniland — a region deeply affected by environmental degradation. The university’s motto is “Advancing Knowledge, Conserving Nature.” FUET aims to be a “centre of excellence” focused on environmental sustainability, technological innovation, and responding to environmental challenges through research and education.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Associate Professor / Reader (Chemical Engineering)

Location: Koroma / Sakpenwa, Rivers
Faculty: Engineering And Technology
Department: Chemical Engineering

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant field with at least nine (9) years of uninterrupted teaching and research experience in a university or equivalent environment.
  • Applicants must have a sustained record of scholarly achievement, normally evidenced by a minimum of twenty‑five (25) peer‑reviewed publications out of which seven(7) must be from foreign indexed journal, substantial postgraduate supervision, conference leadership, and demonstrable administrative or leadership experience.
  • Professional recognition and registration (where applicable) are required.
