Ebonyi State University (EBSU) is one of the leading State Universities in Nigeria and stands out for producing world-class graduates in every field.
The Governing Council of Ebonyi State University is desirous of recruiting visionary and dynamic individuals to constitute an excellent team of Principal Officers for the University, and as a result, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:
Job Title: Bursar

Job Description
The Ebonyi State University Governing Council hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who are not more than sixty (60) years of age to fill the position of Bursar.
The Bursar shall at first instance hold office for a period of four (4) years from the effective date of appointment and shall be eligible for re-appointment for a second final term of four years.
Qualifications and Experience
The candidate for the post of Bursar must possess a good Degree in Accounting or any other related discipline from a recognized University, plus any of the following recognised professional qualifications; ICAN/ ACA/ACCA/ACMA/ CPA and ANAN. Membership of a relevant professional body is a necessary requirement.
The candidate(s) must have had, at least, fifteen (15) years post-qualification cognate experience as an accountant in a University or related institution where he/she must have been a Deputy Bursar for at least three (3) years.
The candidate must have clean and impeccable records of service and demonstrate evidence of professional competence as well as relevant accounting software applications with a high degree of accountability, transparency, integrity and probity.
Applicants should be highly computer literate and be conversant with the application of ICT-based accounting packages.
Conditions of Service
The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Bursar in Nigerian Universities and as may be determined from time to time by the University Governing Council as appropriate.
