Job Description
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving the growth of our organisation.
- The Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding our market presence, increasing revenue, and contributing to the overall success of WOPIGA Oil and Gas.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business areas or opportunities and markets to expand the brand’s reach, and navigate market competition.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Analyse competitor activities and industry developments to stay ahead of market dynamics.
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies that align with the Company’s goals and objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare compelling business proposals, presentations, and pitches. Work closely with technical teams to create innovative solutions that meet client needs.
- Lead negotiations with clients, vendors, and partners. Draft, review, and finalise contracts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Explore and develop new revenue streams through strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and other business models.
- Lead internal teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure the seamless execution of business development plans. Provide leadership and support to achieve collective goals.
- Drive financial success through revenue growth, cost control, and strategic investments.
- Develop and implement long-term plans for growth and profitability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications like CBD, CPBDM or CBAP are a plus.
- 2 to 5 years experience in business development within the oil and gas industry, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Proven track record of success in leading and growing a business.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and customer needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership qualities.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
