Job Title: Business Writer

Location: Lagos

Description

  • We are seeking talented and dynamic individuals to join our team as Business Writers. If you have a passion for business journalism, a keen interest in global financial markets, and a knack for crafting engaging and insightful stories, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Produce high-quality, well-researched, and engaging business news articles, features, and analyses covering a wide range of industries, including finance, technology, energy, and more.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, economic developments, and business news globally to provide informed perspectives and analysis.
  • Interviews: Conduct interviews with key industry players, analysts, and experts to gather insights and opinions.
  • Multimedia Collaboration: Collaborate with our multimedia team to integrate visual elements, infographics, and multimedia content into your articles.
  • Meeting Deadlines: Work efficiently to meet daily and weekly content production deadlines.
  • Social Media Engagement: Actively engage with our audience on social media platforms and contribute to the growth of our online community.

Requirements

  • Journalistic Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business journalism or a related field.
  • Educational Background: A Degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business topics into accessible and compelling content.
  • Market Awareness: A good understanding of global financial markets, business trends, and economic indicators.
  • Multimedia Skills: Familiarity with multimedia content creation and a willingness to collaborate on visual storytelling.
  • Digital Savvy: Comfortable working in a digital environment, with knowledge of SEO best practices and content management systems.
