The Role

  • The Channel Sales Manager, Brands plays a pivotal role in connecting brands and distributors, facilitating collaboration, and driving sustainable growth.
  • This position involves strategic planning, relationship management, and execution of initiatives that ensure strong partnerships between brands and distributors, resulting in mutually beneficial business outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between brand teams and distributor networks, fostering robust partnerships for enhanced collaboration and communication.
  • Collaborate with brand teams and distributors to develop comprehensive monthly trade volume plans, aligning trade goals with brand objectives and distributor capabilities to achieve KPIs.
  • Utilize historical data, market trends, and distributor insights to forecast trade volumes precisely. Collaborate with brand teams to ensure optimal inventory planning and availability.
  • Align brand strategies with distributor capabilities and market demands, providing valuable insights to brand teams based on distributor feedback and market dynamics.
  • Work closely with brand marketing teams to create impactful promotional campaigns that resonate with distributors, align with their calendars, and drive trade through incentives.
  • Continuously monitor trade volume performance against targets, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement and proactively implementing corrective actions.
  • Promptly address operational or communication issues between brands and distributors, collaborating cross-functionally to find effective solutions.
  • Facilitate regular communication between brands and distributors through meetings, updates, and feedback loops, ensuring clarity in expectations and goals for both parties.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to analyze trade volume data, market trends, and distributor feedback, providing actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.

Job Requirements
What we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, channel management, or business development within the FMCG or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong understanding of brand-distributor dynamics, trade operations, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends for informed decision-making.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and collaboration abilities within a cross-functional environment.
  • Project management expertise to coordinate and execute multifaceted initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM software.
