We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chef
Employment Type: Full-time
- Menu Planning and Creation: Create innovative and enticing menus that align with the restaurant’s style, considering customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and budget limitations. Ensure a varied range of dishes that cater to diverse dietary needs and culinary preferences.
- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and standards to ensure excellent taste, presentation, and quality. Maintain consistency in portion sizes, flavor profiles, and cooking techniques.
- Kitchen Management: Supervise all aspects of kitchen operations, including managing food inventory, ordering and receiving supplies, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients. Improve efficiency and minimize waste by implementing efficient production schedules and kitchen workflows.
- Team Supervision: Lead and oversee a team of kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent recipe execution, adherence to food safety guidelines, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Quality Control: Regularly inspect food preparation areas, equipment, and ingredients to uphold high cleanliness and hygiene standards. Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process to ensure all meals meet or surpass customer expectations.
- Collaboration with Front-of-House: Coordinate with restaurant management and staff to facilitate seamless communication and operations between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. Address customer feedback and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Cost Management: Work closely with restaurant management to manage food costs, minimize waste, and optimize profitability. Assist in budgeting, pricing strategies, and cost analysis to meet financial targets while maintaining food quality and customer satisfaction.
- Food Safety and Compliance: Adhere to local health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Ensure compliance with licensing requirements and actively participate in routine health inspections.
- Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 2 – 3 years work experience.
N140,000 – N150,000 monthly.
