We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chemical Analyst – FMCG
Location: Dopemu, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
- As a Chemical Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our spice products by performing chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
- You will work alongside a dedicated team to support our commitment to delivering high-quality and sustainable products to our customers.
- Perform chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure they comply with quality and safety standards.
- Collect samples from various stages of production and storage, following established sampling procedures to maintain traceability.
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments and equipment used in chemical testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results.
- Analyze test results, interpret findings, and promptly report any non-conformities or deviations from quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped chemical laboratory to meet regulatory and internal quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to develop and implement quality control procedures and assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of test results, standard operating procedures, and laboratory documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards in the spice industry, ensuring that the company’s products comply with all applicable laws and guidelines.
- Work with the Research and Development team to evaluate and implement new chemical testing methods and technologies that enhance spice product quality and safety.
- Effectively communicate findings, concerns, and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including Quality Control, Production, and Research and Development, to drive corrective actions and improvements in spice product quality.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a chemical analyst in an FMCG or a related industry.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining analytical instruments and equipment.
- Strong understanding of chemical analysis techniques and quality control practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles is a plus.
N150,000 – N200,000 monthly.
