We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Content Writer

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities
Content Engagement and Reach:

  • You are to understand the objectives of your accounts to enable you to track the performance of content campaigns using relevant metrics, such as website traffic, inquiries, social media engagement (likes, shares, comments), and email click-through rates.
  • You are to measure the reach and impact of your content efforts across various platforms and channels.
  • You are to set a target for desired engagement metrics based on industry standards and mutually agreed clients’ objectives.

Content Quality and Creativity

  • Measurement Metric: Content Evaluation Scores
  • You are to establish a self-improvement system to evaluate the quality, creativity, and originality of the content visuals produced for your respective accounts.
  • You are to assign a scorecard based on factors like grammar and spelling accuracy, clarity, tone, engagement, and adherence to the standard of the organization and the client’s brand guidelines.
  • You are to set a target average score that reflects the desired level of content quality and creativity you want for each of the accounts managed by you.

Brand Consistency and Recognition:

  • Measurement Metric: Brand Perception Surveys
  • You are to determine when surveys are to be conducted for your accounts, to assess brand recognition, perception, and consistency among your clients’ target audience.
  • You are to measure key indicators, such as brand awareness, brand recall, and brand perception scores for your accounts.
  • Self-assess and set a target score that reflects desired brand recognition and consistency.

Team Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Measurement Metric: Team Feedback and Satisfaction
  • You are to conduct regular feedback surveys or interviews with the content writing team members to assess their satisfaction and perception of your role within the unit, based on areas of collaboration and leadership.
  • You are to collect feedback on communication, guidance, support, and ability to inspire and motivate the team.
  •  You are to set a target satisfaction rate that demonstrates effective collaboration and leadership.

Timeliness and Productivity:

  • Measurement Metric: Content Delivery and Turnaround Time
  • As the team lead, you are to track the time taken by the content team to deliver content projects, from brief to final submission.
  • You are to measure the average turnaround time and ensure it aligns with project deadlines and client expectations always.
  • You are to set a target for timely content delivery based on project complexity and volume.

Project Management Efficiency:

  • Measurement Metric: Project Completion Rate
  • You are to track the percentage of projects or campaigns completed within the specified timeline.
  • You are to monitor the adherence to project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables for all projects internal and external.
  • You are to set a target completion rate that ensures efficient project management and timely delivery for all briefs.

Others:

  • Accountable for all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and customer retention.
  • Collaborates across functions and silos to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives at the lowest possible cost
  • This role requires a brand publisher mindset: the create the content our audience is looking for and then to optimize the path to conversion
  • Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement. Development of editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone.
  • Editorial calendar and organization workflows must be developed and managed.
  • Measurement and optimization of the program will be required on a regular and ongoing basis
  • Integration of content programs with brand campaigns to drive the brand to demand.
  • Executive presentations on the program approaches and results will be required.
  • Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
  • Write taking into consideration all writing pros and conscontent to promote all assigned portfolios.
  • Prepare well-structured Content for print, digital and other content Management Systems
  • Proofread before publishing
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase website traffic and or other platform traffic
  • Identify the target audience’s content needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone).
