We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Hostess & Outlet Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-time
- We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess and Operations Lead for our restaurant outlet, specializing in take-out options.
- This multifaceted role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, supervising a team of kitchen staff, and actively engaging with customers.
- Assume a leadership role in the restaurant outlet, ensuring smooth operations during opening hours.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to the kitchen team, monitoring their performance and providing guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with the management team to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and uphold high-quality service standards.
- Manage inventory levels, restocking as necessary, and liaise with the inventory control team.
Customer Engagement and Sales:
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere.
- Actively responding to customers, promoting our take-out options and encouraging them to experience our offerings.
- Provide detailed information about our menu, specials, and promotions, with a focus on enticing customers to place orders.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure an exceptional dining experience from order placement to collection.
- Supervise a team of kitchen staff, assigning tasks, managing schedules, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Foster a cohesive and motivated team environment, providing coaching and training to enhance service skills.
- Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of customer orders, ensuring they are prepared promptly and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation and minimize customer wait times.
- Handle cash and electronic transactions securely and accurately.
Hygiene and Presentation:
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, adhering to hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Ensure that the restaurant outlet is aesthetically appealing, well-maintained, and reflective of our brand image.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality, business, or related fields is a plus with 2-3 years experience.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Sales-oriented mindset and comfort in approaching potential customers.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities to manage both customer interactions and operational tasks.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in handling transactions.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Salary: N70,000 – N80,000 / Month.
