We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Hotel Accountant
Location: Sabo Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Control:
Handle the patty cash and retire it properly.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
Generate monthly financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, etc.).
Implement control procedures to safeguard financial integrity.
Daily Transactions Management:
Process invoices, track payments, and manage daily financial transactions from the front office, F&B, and laundry departments.
Monitor hotel revenue and expenses.
Ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with tax regulations.
Handle employee benefits and deductions.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor budgets.
Implement cost-saving measures and track spending.
Internal Audits and Compliance:
Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and ensure adherence to financial policies (Store, Kitchen, Restaurant, Bar, Housekeeping, laundry and Maintenance)
Address any issues promptly.
External Audits:
Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
Provide necessary financial records and explanations.
Inventory Oversight:
Monitor inventory levels of all department (Store, Kitchen, Restaurant, Bar, Housekeeping, laundry and Maintenance) and procurement practices.
Minimize waste and optimize inventory management.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, ACCA, etc.) is a plus.
3 – 5 years experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and filing procedures.
Proficient in accounting tools (e.g. Excel, QuickBooks, Sage, Opera PMS, Hotelman).
Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
