Job Description

SG Holdings is an African multinational corporation incorporated in Nigeria and with its headquarters in Lagos. The Group operates through four major segments: Energy (Downstream, Upstream) and Petrochemical Shipping, Dredging and Marine services, Agriculture and Commodities and Financial Consulting / Services.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resources Officer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process.
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans.
  • Develop training and development programs.
  • Assist in performance management processes.
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.

Requirements

  • B.Sc certificate in relevant field from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of second-class upper division.
  • HR Credentials (e.g. PHR from the HR Certification Institute).
  • 0 – 1 year of work experience.
  • Not more than 25 years of age.
  • Understanding of labor laws.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
  • time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Strong ethics and reliability
