We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Information Technology Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Purpose

  • Responsible for the design, implementation and management of Information Technology strategies and plans towards the achievement of efficient and effective business operations for present and emerging technologies.

Description of Contribution
IT Operations & Strategy, Planning Management:

  • Responsible for ensuring the availability of all services to all Users according to the agreed Service Level Agreement, SLA, and related contracts as well as defining processes that comply with established standards and quality specifications.
  • Coordinates the development and delivery of the entire set of SLAs while ensuring commonality of approach across them.
  • Responsible for management of the IT Infrastructure in all the company’s locations and departments to ensure smooth and effective performance of IT operations.
  • Define processes that comply with established standards and information technology specifications.
  • Have full responsibility for users’ information/data availability, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Prepares the business unit IT budget in line with business direction.

Information Security:

  • Assess current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, and weaknesses and for possible upgrades or improvement.
  • Implement and oversee technological upgrades, improvements, and major changes to the information security environment.
  • Ensure implementation of a system security policy that protects business information.

Communications & Network Security:

  • Provide the technology framework to ensure visibility across the supply chain for the business and the clients it supports.
  • Maintain network IT security; analyse networks for security threats; develop virus protection.
  • Control domain users’ access, and physical database resources and ensure that only authorized persons make use of applications.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Planning:

  • Document IT design and resources and create a business recovery process.
  • Perform business impact and risk assessments.
  • Ensure IT resources follow best practices that protect them from natural disasters.
  • Responsible for IT Incident and Problem Resolution,IT resources Availability, Capacity building and Disaster Recovery.
  • Review reports on incidents and breaches, investigate and resolve issues and apply appropriate mitigants.
  • Initiate, implement and coordinate all IT projects- the planning and implementation in the companies and ensuring that it meets the agreed specification timing, quality and budget.

Project & Time Management:

  • Determine project feasibility and viability while ensuring that business requirement for the new system is defined.
  • Produce plans to define how specified quality requirements will be achieved, controlled, assured, and managed for specific IT contracts or projects.
  • Responsible for implementing IT standards and quality policy for all projects and possibly simplifying them for smaller projects.
  • Communicate IT project progress and issues to the Group Managing Director or the SMT that has the direct supervisory role for the division.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of all major projects being managed in the business unit periodically to meet specified standards.
  • Develop internal requisition procedure and approval hierarchy in line with the group guidelines on purchasing and Initiate and/or approve requisitions for items within the IT department whenever such arise.
  • Adopt best-in-class IT standards and quality policies for all projects and possibly simplify them for a smaller project.
  • Measure User satisfaction often by survey using a repeatable process to track changes over time.
  • Identify broad categories of IT consumables and services and establish procedures for ensuring that purchases conform to specific standards.

People Management:

  • Guide direct reports.
  • Guide the talent identification and development processes within the team.
  • Work with senior management and other peers for reporting, strategy development and execution.
  • Communicate financial and goal results and key performance indicators to direct reports.
  • Directly supervises the activities of all IT personnel at the division and delegates IT responsibilities appropriately amongst staff as well as appraising the performance level of IT personnel in line with the appraisal measures.
  • Facilitate goal-level creation for the broader function and work with other managers to ensure the goals cascade to all employees.
  • Organize and coordinate appropriate specialized training for IT staff to improve their IT skills to support the operation efficiently.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc or HND in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematical Sciences with 5 years of industry experience
  • Professional Accreditation:
  • CISSP, CISM, CCNSP CCNA, CCDP, CCNP, etc.
