Job Description
- We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Mathematics and Computer Science Teacher to join our educational institution in Benin City, Nigeria.
- The ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in both mathematics and computer science, fostering a love for these subjects and preparing students for future academic and career success.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in mathematics and computer science for students at various grade levels
- Teach a range of mathematical concepts, from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus
- Instruct students in computer science fundamentals, programming languages, and software development
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
- Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams
- Provide constructive feedback and additional support to students as needed
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance curriculum and teaching methods
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in mathematics and computer science education
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification
- Strong knowledge of mathematics and computer science concepts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans
- Strong classroom management skills
- Familiarity with educational technology and its application in the classroom
- Up-to-date knowledge of mathematics and computer science trends in education
- Understanding of educational theories and best practices
- Previous teaching experience preferred
- Experience in curriculum development is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with students
- Willingness to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
