Financial Services Volunteer Corps (FSVC) is a not-for-profit organization that helps build the sound financial and governance systems needed to support healthy market-oriented economies in developing countries. Founded in 1990 at U.S. Presidential Initiative, FSVC has conducted 3,800 technical assistance missions in 70 countries. Among others, FSVC has worked with regulators, law enforcement agencies and financial and non-financial institutions on detecting, monitoring and disrupting financial crime across Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Europe and Asia.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Description
The Financial Services Volunteer Corps (FSVC) is seeking a highly motivated Program Officer to successfully and effectively assist in the implementation of a technical assistance program in Nigeria focused on countering illicit financing via crowdfunding, including through the misuse of the non-profit organization (NPO) sector and use of virtual assets.
The position is located in Abuja preferred (candidates based in Lagos will be considered)
Responsibilities
Develop a detailed mapping of the relevant landscape for NPOs, crowdfunding and virtual asset providers;
Establish and maintain relationships with key local institutions (e.g., government institutions, financial institutions, NPOs);
Organize and deliver a comprehensive presentation to relevant stakeholders to share findings, insights and recommendations;
Prepare and facilitate public-private roundtables focused on regulatory discussions;
Liaise closely with FSVC staff to ensure effective program implementation and project management, including reporting and monitoring.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in International Development, Finance / Economics, Business, International Relations, or other related field;
At least five years of professional experience in international development, particularly financial sector development and combating financial crimes, or in a related field;
Experience managing the delivery of international technical assistance programs;
Working relationships with key government agencies, financial institutions and NPOs;
Excellent English speaking and writing skills;
Excellent organizational and project management skills; and
Ability to work independently and as a team player.
