We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Project Manager – GFFO
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Employment Type: Full-time
The Opportunity
- The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of project progress as per the project proposal, budget, logical framework and contractual compliance obligations.
- S/he will oversee and ensure that implementing partners and field level teams have the required level of support, guidance, and information in order to implement the project to high standards, coordinating and communicating effectively with internal and external contacts and ensure follow up and support where required.
About You
We are looking to recruit person (s) with:
- University Degree, preferably with a Master’s Degree, in Social Science, Social Work, Human Rights, Law, Psychology or related field
- A minimum of 5-7 years experience in child protection work with a humanitarian organisation.
- Solid knowledge base and practical experience in community-based child protection/GBV approaches, case management, psychosocial support and child participation methodologies.
- Experience of managing the programme cycle, including assessments, proposal and report writing, Monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong experience and skills in management of staff from different backgrounds, including nutrition and livelihoods.
- Experience in building relationships, fostering interagency coordination and experience of representing an organization to external parties.
- Strong self-starter, able to set up and manage child protection programmes.
