Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Lagos

Job Brief

  • As a quality assurance engineer, you will be crucial in ensuring the highest quality standards for our products and services.
  • You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining effective quality assurance processes to identify, prevent, and resolve defects.

Responsibilities

  • Test Planning and Design: Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
  • Test Execution: Execute manual and automated tests to verify product functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Defect Tracking and Management: Identify, report, and track defects using a defect tracking system. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to assess product scalability, responsiveness, and resource utilization.
  • Quality Metrics: Collect and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience with various testing types (e.g., functional, non-functional, regression, integration).
  • Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, TestRail).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Robot Framework).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
