Job Summary

  • The Restaurant General Manager for a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the restaurant’s operational activities to ensure efficiency, profitability, and exceptional customer service.
  • This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, process improvement, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives, increase revenue, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Set operational goals, targets, and KPIs, and regularly monitor performance against these metrics.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align operational initiatives with the company’s long-term vision and objectives.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of restaurant managers, supervisors, and staff.
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure a positive work culture, employee engagement, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans to support career growth and succession planning.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health standards, and company policies to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for both customers and employees.
  • Implement quality control measures to uphold product consistency, freshness, and presentation across all menu items.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and address any issues promptly.

Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement:

  • Streamline operational workflows and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, technology adoption, or process redesign to improve productivity and profitability.
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.

Customer Service and Experience:

  • Champion a customer-centric approach by ensuring that all employees are trained to deliver exceptional service and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels through surveys, reviews, and direct interaction, and take appropriate actions to address any issues or opportunities for improvement.

Financial Management and Budgeting:

  • Develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Monitor and control expenses, labor costs, and inventory levels to achieve profitability targets and maximize return on investment.
  • Analyze financial performance data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000.00 per month.
