We specialize in delivering to our clients Turn key Projects.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Safety Marshall

Location: Lagos

Position Overview

  • We are hiring a Safety Marshall to support and enforce site safety compliance across our projects.
  • The ideal candidate will assist in monitoring safety practices, conducting toolbox talks, identifying hazards, and promoting a culture of safety among all workers on site.
  • Support and enforce safety standards across construction sites. Monitor daily PPE and safety compliance, conduct toolbox talks, report unsafe acts or conditions, and assist in emergency preparedness while serving as a safety liaison between workers and site management.

Responsibilities:

  • Site Safety Monitoring: Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with PPE and safety protocols.
  • Toolbox Talks & Briefings: Conduct daily toolbox talks and site-specific hazard briefings for workers.
  • Hazard Identification: Inspect work areas regularly to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Unsafe Act Reporting: Report unsafe acts and conditions immediately to the HSE Officer or Site Supervisor.
  • Emergency Support: Assist during emergency evacuations, drills, and ensure proper guidance to assembly points.
  • PPE & Equipment Checks: Ensure workers use appropriate PPE and that first aid kits/fire extinguishers are accessible.
  • Housekeeping Oversight: Encourage and monitor good housekeeping practices to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Visitor & Worker Induction: Ensure visitors and new workers receive safety inductions before entering the site.
  • Incident Support: Assist in reporting and investigating incidents and near-misses on site.
  • Stop Unsafe Work: Observe high-risk activities and stop operations if immediate danger is present.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of SSCE / OND; HSE certifications are an advantage.
  • At least 1 year of site-based safety experience (construction or industrial environment preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of HSE principles and PPE usage on site.
  • Good communication skills and confidence in addressing groups.
  • Ability to identify hazards and report them clearly.
  • Physically fit to move around construction sites regularly.
