Job Title: State Program Manager – CSR

DescriptionÂ
- Vcare for Development Foundation (VCDF) is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO). It was formally registered in November 2022 with the aim of fostering equitable partnerships and making a long-term socio-economic and environmental impact on communities, in line with national priorities and the Global Sustainability Development Goals.
- We are currently seeking an experienced CSR Manager with at least 15 years of experience in providing case management or related services in a formal setting. As the state program Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and reporting to the Regional Manager/National Program Manager. Your role will be to plan, direct, and coordinate program activities to ensure that the goals and objectives of VCDF are met.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate program activities to ensure that VCDF achieves its goals and objectives within the required timeframe.
- Participate in developing strategies for implementing VCDF programs to achieve technical objectives.
- Review program implementation tools such as consultancy agreements, work plans, budgets, performance monitoring plans, program audits, assessments, implementation frameworks, etc. to determine the necessary staffing, technical assistance, and resource allocation for the successful implementation of priority activities.
- Establish work plans, program teams, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies for field operations.
- Develop training modules and orientation for field staff to meet program goals.
- Lead state program teams, ensuring that they have clarity on program priorities, timelines, job responsibilities, and necessary resources to achieve program goals and objectives.
- Ensure alignment and coordination with regional activities implemented by VCDF.
- Oversee the development of technical and financial reports for management submission.
- Maintain effective and constructive communication about program implementation within and outside the organization.
- Develop a strategy for community mobilization and assessment, which includes conducting a baseline survey/needs assessment study, monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment study, etc.
- Provide induction and project orientation for new staff.
- Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with VCDF’s values, quality standards, policies, and program objectives, as well as their responsibilities.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the reporting manager as needed.
- Identify, establish, and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders on program matters.
- Develop a partnership management system to ensure continuous capturing of knowledge about VCDF strategic partners. This includes their organization charts, current updates, projects, and understanding of their goals. The partnership management system will likely be a combination of management processes tailored to our work and organization.
- Advise teams that are developing initiative-level partnership processes to ensure appropriate links to the overall partnership management system and the use of best practices.
- Support the Regional Manager in managing various program processes such as team meetings and monthly reporting.
- Collaborate with the finance and procurement unit to develop purchase requisitions for project items and vendors, in coordination with the Regional Manager, for subsequent approval.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences / Development Studies / RuraI Development / any other discipline
- Master’s Degree in related field is required.
- The applicant should have a minimum of 15 years of experience in providing case management or related services in a formal setting.
