We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Territory Manager

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Division: Business

Reporting to: Regional Sales Head, West

Purpose of the Job

  • The Territory Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to develop and maintain customer relationships by offering excellent products and services that add value to the customer while minimizing costs and risks to the company.
  • This role involves a combination of face-to-face sales activities and managing accounts in the assigned territory to gain market share and increase awareness, appreciation, and understanding of the IPNX brand.
  • The Territory Manager serves as the main communication conduit between IPNX and the specific businesses served in the area. Additionally, the role involves establishing and driving individual annual targets for the assigned team members.

Deliverables
Expected Key Results:

  • Maintain Industry/Regional Strategic Leadership for improved business performance.
  • Drive sales goals for the region and partner with stakeholders to support business success in specified sectors/regions.
  • Execute business operational strategy and performance measures in line with company, segment, region, and market goals.
  • Analyze the competitive environment to improve pricing, services, product development strategies, and sales efforts.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities for high-value, low-risk customers and other profitable customer segments.
  • Build and maintain productive business relationships with decision-makers to understand customers’ strategic direction and identify opportunities.
  • Achieve performance targets for the region and allocated sectors through partnerships within the industry and region.
  • Drive the recruitment, attraction, and retention of a diverse workforce and provide mentorship and coaching.

Key Activities

  • Drive key business decisions within the region by maintaining, delivering, and presenting forecasting models, metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with all constituents, including producers, plan sponsors, providers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Analyze industry and regional data for robust analytics and decision-making.
  • Identify and leverage potential business opportunities and support strategic changes for business transformation.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and coherent plans for serving and maintaining transactions and relationships within Lagos Island Region.
  • Consistently close sales and achieve monthly activity KPIs and revenue goals.
  • Evaluate performance of Account Managers within Lagos Island in line with set objectives and prepare periodic reports for the Regional Head.

Educational Qualifications & Functional Skills

  • B.Sc/BA degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or its equivalent (2.2/Upper Credit Minimum).
  • Master’s degree/MBA.
  • Ability to penetrate accounts and meet with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, including excellent PowerPoint and Excel capabilities.
  • Background or demonstrated interest in telecom, technology, or media industries.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent presentation and customer service capabilities.

Work Experience:

  • 5-10 years of sales or related experience with sales management experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and ownership of data-driven analyses.
  • Leadership experience with a strong business acumen and knowledge of the technical market landscape.
  • Experience in Client Management & Growth Strategies of an assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Proven results in successfully closing new business, ideally selling to blue-chip companies.
